Great experience with fantastic food. We had the scallop and shrimp ravioli with saffron cream sauce, the pasta with seafood and stuffed zucchini flowers and all were tremendous. We liked the chili oil so much that they gave us a bottle of it to take home. Just amazing food, service and hospitality!!

Simply wonderful! As soon as we walked through the door, it felt as if we were truly entering an Italian trattoria. The music, the decor, the entire ambiance felt genuine and cozy. We were greeted by warm smiles and the service was great throughout our meal! We had gnocchi and tagliatelle, and finished with Sicilian cannoli. Everything was great, from the food to the overall vibe of the restaurant!

We visited the restaurant on an early Thursday night, had reservations for 8:30pm, we settled for the Calamarata and Cod dishes which were splendid and plentiful. The restaurant is beautully decorated and has relaxing ambiance. Will visit again before our vacation ends a the end of this month.

I loved my visit to ‘Semplice.’ so much, I ended up visiting twice on my short trip!
The restaurant itself is clean, traditional and cosy, with welcoming staff and a real family vibe.
The menu has vegan options, as well as the chef being able to veganise other menu items upon request - which was a really nice touch.
I started with some bread and taralli on both my visits, which was delicious. For my main on my first visit i opted for ‘orecchiette alla pugliese’ with turnip greens and soy mince. I honestly wish I could eat this dish on a weekly basis back in London!
On my second visit, I decided to try the ‘seitan scaloppine’. The seitan was cooked really nicely, and the sauce was bursting with flavour! This was accompanied by marinated chunks of aubergine.
I was extremely impressed with my trip to Semplice, from the delicious food, to the wonderful service. I’m just sad I’m not a local, as I’d definitely be a regular!- Servicio

A Truly Exquisite Italian Dining Experience in Pontevedra. Visited this Italian restaurant in Pontevedra for dinner and was genuinely impressed. The food was simply exquisite—authentic flavors, beautifully presented—and the service was warm and attentive throughout. It truly felt like a slice of Italy right here in town. Highly recommended.

We happened on the restaurant by chance when visiting the city. The menu looked promising given my wife is vegetarian and we had been struggling to find somewhere suitable for the two of us. Anyhow, we had lunch, the food was great, the service was excellent given our limited Spanish and the couldn’t be helpful enough. Highly recommended!

Fabulous food. All made from scratch including fresh made pasta and delicious. Staff are very welcoming. Make sure to have the mussels. Dessert was good too. Wish I lived closer.

Had a lasaña which was delicious but my girlfriend had a gnocci which was okay at best, not great. Service was okay, not great either. No A/C so it was really hot inside. Also no Wifi.

I am very grateful to the restaurant for the delicious food and pleasant atmosphere. The pasta balonese was incredible. She found a place in my heart after a long day on the Camino. If you are nearby in search of delicious food, do not miss the opportunity to eat here.

It is not often I feel compelled to leave a review, but what a gift to return to Pontevedra to see this place has opened. From the moment you enter, to walking out the door, every moment in this trattoria feels intentional. The service was warm and bright, the interior felt light and inviting. We started the meal with carpaccio and ensalada latina. The carpaccio was the best I’ve ever had, I could easily eat this plate for lunch day after day. You can tell they give great attention to the quality of the ingredients which naturally elevates each dish. This is immediately apparent in the basket of bread and grissini that is placed on the table. For the main plate I had the gnocchi alla calabrese. A simple dish of classic flavors, much as the restaurant’s name suggests, but something happens between the sourcing of ingredients and their preparation that spins magic on the plate. Taking lunch here was a reminder of the great joys of eating. Do yourself a favor and go to Semplice if you are ever given the opportunity.- Servicio

This is the best italian restaurant in town. I was gently welcomed by chef Gabriele and family when I arrived after a big walk. The service and food is simply amazing and if you have any doubt that if you should go there, please trust!

Everything about Semplice is excellent! Delicious food, very reasonably priced, friendly service, wonderful atmosphere, fab background music at the perfect volume and a great wine selection! An authentic taste of Italy without budging from the centre of Pontevedra. My new favourite place for lunch and dinner!!

This was our second visit here and we have been very pleased with both meals. It is a cozy trattoria that provides prompt and courteous service, and a delightful menu with seasonal specials. Well worth a visit.
